ARC- AquaCulture Interactive Mobile Classroom
How lucky are St Patricks NS to experience the ARC within our school this week. The ARC provides a fun and interactive learning experience delivered in the custom designed truck-sized mobile classroom exploring aquaculture – the farming of plants and animals in water. Through engaging activities, pupils will learn about the origins of seafood, our oceans and climate, sustainability, health and nutrition, and the important role aquaculture can play in producing food for the future.
JI Cedar
Junior Infants Cedar has had the most wonderful first week in school! We have been practicing lots of important classroom routines and are enjoying making new friends. We’ve been reading lots of stories, including the well-known Owl Babies. Take a look at some of our amazing baby owls!
Ash
3rd Class Ash were lucky to take part in a fantastic ‘Fighting Words’ writing workshop at Greystones Library today. They worked together to create the imaginative story, ‘Dave the Dog and the Super Problem’ and became published authors for the day! We also made the most of the beautiful sunshine and enjoyed some outdoor play ☀️📚

SI Birch explored for minibeasts today! We made a minibeast habitat last week and came back to investigate what we found.

3rd Ash and Oak Beach Trip
enjoyed a trip to the beach on Wednesday to celebrate earning their ‘Warm Fuzzy’ rewards. A stop at thesweet shop and fabulous weather made for a fantastic day out! ☀️🏖️🍬

3rd Class Ash and Oak had a fantastic time at Squirrel’s Scramble on their school tour! The children enjoyed zip-lining, archery and lots of team-building challenges 🎯🌳😄🐿️
It Takes A Vialleg Flag raising
St Patrick’s NS joined with community partnership and schools in Greystones to celebrate raising the ‘It Takes A Village’ flag. Look for the white ITAV flag proudly flying in schools around Greystgones. This speacial day opened the Football Blitiz occuing between Primary schools in the area.

Junior Infants School Tour to Glenroe Farm
Junior infants had a brilliant first school tour to Glenroe Farm. It was so much fun! The children loved meeting the animals and exploring the farm. There were lots of smiles and happy memories made!

With the sunshine on our side today, 5th Class have been enjoying lots of outdoor maths challenges, putting their problem-solving skills to the test while doing some outdoor learning. This week, there’s an extra buzz around the classroom as we celebrate the World Cup and look forward to all the excitement the tournament brings!

Greystones Coast Guards Water Safety
A huge thank you to the Greystones Coast Guards for volunteering their time to come into St.Patrick’s NS to update everyone on Water Safety. Each year group were informed about the 3 important flags displayd on our beaches, the role of the coast guards and how to stay afloat in the sea if you are waiting for help to arrive.
