This afternoon we were making bird feeders. We were making them out of willow branches. Some kids brought their bird feeders home and others put them in the school garden.

We wet the branches, so they don’t snap and we twisted and decorated them into beautiful bird feeders. Huge thank you to Kelly from Heritage in Schools who showed us how to make them. We enjoyed it so much and now you could make them at home. Keep an eye out for our bird feeders hanging from trees in school!

It was a fun, hands-on afternoon and we loved learning a new skill while helping the birds in our area. We are very proud of our creations and can’t wait to see lots of birds visiting them!
