Senior Infants Willow ended Engineering Week with an exploration of “What is the problem?” “How can we solve it?”. An assortment of materials were placed on the floor and the children selected any materials they wanted to engineer a solution to their problem. Bridges, transport and earthquake buildings were created. It was inspiring to watch the children experiment, redesign, and celebrate their creations. Engineering Week reminded us that with imagination, teamwork, and a few simple materials, young learners can become incredible problem solvers.
