Today in Science, 5th class Elm explored series circuits and learned how electricity travels through a circuit. We discussed how a series circuit has only one path for the electric charges to follow, similar to travelling on a road with no alternative route. The children discovered that if one bulb in a series circuit stops working, the whole circuit is broken and all of the lights go out.
They discussed how electric charges move from the positive terminal of the battery to the negative terminal. The children showed great curiosity and engagement while sharing their ideas and making connections to real-life examples.
